The exhibition at the gallery will open on 8 September at 511 West 22nd Street and remain on view through October 15 2022. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue featuring an essay by Andrew Hunt.

"The paintings are a “playground” for the imagination, both in a traumatic and an optimistic sense. Although this series shows a post-natural world, we still have chaos. And if nature represents order beyond human regimes of clock time, and if art can sometimes attempt to display a distinct moral order, Magill’s work embraces chaos as inevitable. The ultimate paradox is the reality of an ever-decreasing likelihood of our survival."
